Nesta

Rebuilding trust in how people book a place to stay. Nesta is a curated stays platform connecting travelers with personally reviewed homes, cabins, and villas across 40+ destinations. Unlike large marketplaces where anyone can list a property, Nesta positions itself as a selective, quality-first alternative, with every home vetted before it goes live and every touchpoint designed to feel more premium and trustworthy than typical booking sites.

Strategy

Designing for selectivity, not scale. Most booking platforms compete on volume, offering more listings, more destinations, and more filters, but Nesta needed to compete on trust instead, so every design decision was built to reinforce the feeling of being hand-picked rather than mass-market, through a minimal editorial layout, a consistent narrative across every section, and a single clear path to conversion.

Identity

A visual language built around calm and quality. The identity leans into a neutral, editorial palette of black, cream, and soft earth tones, paired with a clean serif and sans-serif type combination that feels closer to hospitality branding than tech, letting photography and whitespace carry most of the emotional weight instead of heavy visual styling.

Application

From homepage to booking, every touchpoint feels considered. The identity was applied consistently across the full user journey, from the landing page to the browse and listing experience to the property detail page, with a simplified split layout on the detail page that keeps the booking widget visible at all times, ensuring the same editorial, trustworthy tone carries through from first impression to final reservation.

Outcome

A platform that feels editorial, not transactional. The final design shifts Nesta away from the generic marketplace feel common in the booking industry toward something closer to a boutique hospitality brand, using a consistent story across every section to build trust before asking users to book, and proving that a "curated" brand promise can be made to feel true through design, not just copy.
